High quality depends on access to the best raw materials

Our raw material grows all around us and here, north of the Arctic Circle, the growing season is short and intensive. The trees grow slowly around the clock in the Land of the Midnight Sun, becoming hard and dense. The timber is structurally stable and so dense that one can hardly make out the annual rings. We call this compact Torne Valley pine Aihki.
